This brief 25 page book covers all the basics of selecting a plot of land, irrigation considerations, growing vegetables and fruits, issues of fertilizers and insects and diseases, managing a dairy cow, and many other issues of a “self-sufficient” farm.
I can tell you that many modern sustainable/homesteaders would have done much better had they read this simple and informative book. What was true in 1934 is remarkably relevant today.
