First Snow of Winter 2011

Well, so much for the plans to finish the building before the first snow. Yesterday morning we received about two inches (50 mm) and the temperature got down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit (-7 c)

This is what the snowy building looks like. Most of the adobe is finished and thankfully no damage from the wind, rain or snow that night.

At least Faith enjoyed it!

    Hello to all,
We just noticed your site on the Intent. Com. and being in central Az after 4 years abroad….your efforts and awareness are a nice addition to the New World that is being formed……and the cool-ness looks invigorating…..

We both were wondering if it is possible to come for a vist in the spring, and if there is a way to join and build earthbag and aquaponics….and be part of the community? We both have many talents, world experiences and love to share, teach, play music and create a new paradigm……

We look forward to hearing from you soon, peace to your journey, Aho…

We’d love a visit — we’re always open for visitors and we’ll have great camping spots as well as guest rooms in the lodge by this next spring. Please feel free to email or call us for a visit. And we’ll be experimenting with a lot of different sustainable construction techniques. Feel free to use the contact us form on the site.
